Message to our children in the Northern Hemisphere, on observation of their deleterious conditions and in respect of their fatigue, dated circa June 2020 (Earth Time). Sent with haste. Location: RA 0h 42m 44s | Dec +41° 16′ 9″ (2020)

NOW LIVE: Art Night presents TRAILERS.

To mark Art Night’s original 2020 date and to celebrate the Festival’s fifth anniversary, Art Night presents Trailers — a series of short online works by the 10 artists in the postponed festival programme: Oona Doherty, Sonya Dyer, Adham Faramawy, Guerrilla Girls, Mark Leckey, Isabel Lewis, OOMK, Imran Perretta and Paul Purgas, Philomène Pirecki, and Alberta Whittle.

Art Night’s invitation to artists asked the question What do you feel like showing right nowTrailers offers a glimpse into the works the artists are developing for Art Night 2021, or what they’ve been up to during lockdown — a self-contained release of ideas, thoughts or feelings made for right now. Works include video, sound, text, performance and downloadable materials.

See our suggested schedule for the night below, accompanied by a recipe for dinner and a cocktail specially designed by Spring Restaurant — scroll down to find them. Hope you enjoy the work.

Art Night London 2021

Curated by Helen Nisbet, Art Night will soon celebrate five editions. Transforming iconic and unexpected public spaces within the city, the festival will return to The Strand.  Titled Nothing Compares 2 U after the song penned by Prince and most famously performed by Sinead O’Connor, the programme for Art Night 2020 takes inspiration from defiance in small acts and moments of self-determination in everyday life, politics, music and literature.
